What Are We Ordering For Delivery?

By News Apr 29, 2020 | 8:43 AM

What other choices do we have. Make it at home, pick up food from your favorite restaurant or have it delivered. So who is winning the delivery wars?

At this point:

  1. Doordash (42%)
  2. GrubHub (28%)
  3. UberEats (20%)
  4. Postmates (9%)
  5. Other (2%…which includes Amazon restaurants, Caviar and Waitr)

Aside from the fact, I had no idea that Amazon delivered food (which shouldn’t surprise anyone), what are we ordering? We should not be surprised, there is a list for that which has been compiled by GrubHub. While some of these seem very specific, I doubt that they are having things like a single glazed donut delivered. Chances they are part of a larger order.

  • In our part of the nation, the Midwest, here are some of our delivery favorites:
    • Sausage egg cheese burrito
    • Glazed donut
    • Fried cheese curd
  • The Northwest likes these deliveries:
    • Mac and cheese:
    • Carne asada bowl
    • Cinnamon apple pie
  • There there are Southerners
    • Burrito bowl
    • Grilled steak burrito
    • Sausage, egg, and cheese croissant
  • And Westerners
    • Sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit
    • Spicy chicken sandwich
    • Pulled pork sandwich

Not to be outdone: UberEater has their list, as well, of 35 different states…by the way…they can go to hell, because they Nebraska is NOT on the list, but Iowa and Missouri can be???
