Social Distance Dining Seat Fillers

By News May 18, 2020 | 9:04 AM

This past weekend, restaurants all over Lincoln opened up, but they have to do the social distancing thing. For the most part, you see restaurants skipping seats and removing tables, while others decided to stick with curbside for the time being.

However, there have been some pretty creative ways some restaurants around the country and around the world are handling social distance dining.

In Thailand some places are doing a cute idea of putting stuffed Pandas in seats in between guests

In Virginia, they are using 1930’s dressed mannequins. Mannequins aren’t exclusive to Virginia, pretty much every city and every country has someone using the idea

In Germany, people are asked to wear pool noodles on their head to reinforce their distance.

Amsterdam has a restaurant that has quaint idea with small all glass booths that over look the river

Japan has the idea that plexiglass between guests would be a good idea.

I don’t think anyone knows when, or if their will ever end. At this point, it is the “new normal”. At least you can say those eateries that have kept their doors open are being creative.
