The investigation started on Wednesday, June 3rd when the Zeppelin Bar and Grill at 11th and West Bond Street was broken into around 2:30 a.m.  A clerk at the Travel Lodge heard a loud noise in the attached restaurant and then saw two males inside.  A glass door had been broken to gain access. Officers viewed security video and identified the 14-year-old missing boy.
Later that night, officers responded to an alarm at the Super C at 26th and Ticonderoga and officers saw that the front door had been shattered.  Employees there reported that five bottles of alcohol were taken. Again, police viewed security video and identified the 14-year-old as one of the suspects.
On June 16th, a woman reported that her vehicle had been broken into on South 11th Street.  She reported ID and credit cards were missing.  The credit card had already been used at the Walmart on North 27th Street.  Officers again viewed security footage and were able to identify the same 14-year-old make responsible for the burglaries.
Police found the boy on July 4th at 3 p.m. hiding in a vehicle at 11th and Folsom Street.  Police recognized the boy and saw him go into his mother’s house.
The boy was taken into custody for two counts of burglary and for the outstanding arrest warrant.  He was also cited for unauthorized use of a financial transaction device.
