ICYMI: CMT Celebrates Our Heroes

With everything that has been going on in the world, there’s a good chance that you missed CMT’s “Celebrate Our Heroes: An Artists of the Year Special” last night June 3rd. They had so many great performances last night, but that wasn’t why they did it.

The last several months have been something no one has gone through, and now think about how many people ended up with COVID-19 and how fast. CMT did such an amazing day making everyone on the front line from healthcare workers, community leaders, first responders, and more.

So if you missed some of the performances from last night you can check out some that CMT shared on Instagram.

If you watched his entire performance you know he didn’t mention anything about the protest and the current state in which our country is going through. There’s a 100% chance this was recorded way before the protest started, because they’ve been promoting this for a while. If you’re wondering what Darius Rucker had to say here you go.

CMT also shared Miranda Lamberts performance. I’m going to be so honest with you, when this song comes on I FREAKIN’ JAM OUT!

If you’re up to date on the latest release from Kane Brown “Worldwide Beautiful” you know he released it the day after the show aired on CMT, but this cover of “Stand By Me” is absolute gem!

You knew that CMT had to make sure Thomas Rhett was also part of the performance with his new song he released during the pandemic “Be a Light” at number eighteen on the Billboard Hot 100 country songs chart as well the Mediabase country radio chart.
