A 20 year old man is facing 1st degree sexual assault charges in the assault of a 14 year old girl on June 1, 2019.
Lincoln Police were called to a home in the 4300 block of North 7th Street at after receiving a call from the girl saying she ha been assaulted by then 19 year old Tony Kose. She told police she knew Kose from school and he called her and demanded sex or he was going to harm her baby brother. The girl gave Kose her address and he forced her into a bedroom. The girl’s parents arrived home during the assault and Kose ran from the bedroom and to a balcony where he jumped from the third story apartment and ran.
Officers interviewed the victim and witnesses and processed the crime scene for evidence. Police later found Kose in the Lancaster County jail in connection to a different case and obtained a court order to retrieve DNA. Results from the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab showed Kose’s DNA matched evidence at the scene of the sexual assault.
On Thursday, August 13, 2020, Lincoln Police cited and booked Kose for 1st degree sexual assault.
