Lancaster County COVID-19 Risk Dial Remains “Orange” , or High Risk

The Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department reports 16 new lab confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Friday bringing the community total to 3.431. The total number so far for the week is at 131, the lowest number in many weeks. The number of deaths remains at 19.

There are currently 15 people hospitalized. The COVID-19 Risk Dial is at “Orange”, indicating a high risk of the virus spreading. Residents are still encouraged to stay home if possible, social distance at least six feet away, wear masks, wash hands frequently and those at risk of complications should minimize close contact with others.

The Lancaster County positivity rate remains at 6.7%. The state rate is unchanged at 9.4% and the national rate steady at 9%.
