Froggy 98 (KFGE-FM) APD/MD/Mid-Days Kyle Matthews has been named one of three recipients of the Rusty Walker Scholarship for CRS 2022.  As such, Kyle receives airfare, hotel accommodations, and registration to the event, held February 23-25 at the Omni Nashville Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.

Kyle Matthews has been with NRG Media / Broadcast House Media in Lincoln, Neb. on and off since 2016.

Country Radio Seminar (CRS) is a three-day educational event gathering key business leaders in various radio and music industry fields, featuring presentations on best business practices, emerging technology, personal career development, and new music showcases. The scholarship is named after Rusty Walker, an iconic programmer, consultant, and esteemed Country Radio Hall of Fame inductee who passed suddenly in 2012. Walker was known for mentoring many of the brightest minds and strongest leaders in country music, and as such this scholarship encourages younger broadcast professionals to learn, excel and lead.

“I can’t believe I’m one of only three to receive this esteemed scholarship,” shares Kyle. “I couldn’t be more excited to meet amazing people and learn from those who have achieved success in the country music industry!”

OM/PD Steve King remarks, “I can honestly say that Kyle is one of the most deserving people to win this award.  Through his ideas, initiative, and leadership skills on Froggy 98, he exemplifies that he is the future of country radio. I am constantly inspired by Kyle, as he energizes everyone around him and coaches us all to greatness.”

Rusty Walker Scholars will be recognized during the opening ceremonies of CRS 2022. To learn more about the Rusty Walker Scholarship and view a full listing of past RW scholars, visit the Country Radio Seminar website.
